The First Sketch of the Tide-Locked Realm

Today, the Tide-Locked Realm finally revealed its first shape.

Nothing polished, nothing final—just a rough, wandering sketch in my notebook. But realms don’t arrive in perfection. They come as flickers: a coastline imagined, a forest named, a deep-water court whispered into being.

Skyborn isles.

Moonlit marshholds.

A treetop kingdom stirring in the canopy.

The black-water courts of Aurelune and Aurewyn resting far below.

Each stroke is a guess, a memory, a vision shifting like tidewater. I didn’t expect the map to feel alive, but it does—like something surfacing after a long sleep, letting me see the edges of its body while keeping the heart hidden for later.

It’s messy. Uneven. Entirely imperfect.

But that’s what I love most.

This is the first heartbeat of the Tide-Locked Realm.

More will gather—cities, roads, creatures, currents, myths—but for now, this fragile sketch is enough. The realm is surfacing, and I’m simply following where it leads.

Thank you for wandering beside me.
